Simple sentences examples

 what is a simple sentence⇒ a simple sentence is those in which either there is no action verb at all or even if there is an action, the subject does not perform that action.

simple sentence “सरल वाक्य उन्हें कहा जाता है जिनमे क्रिया नहीं होती है और अगर होती भी है तो कर्ता उस क्रिया को नहीं करता है |” 

There are three types of simple sentences: Simple sentences examples

1. Present simple sentences: इन वाक्यों के अन्त में है, हैं, हो, हूँ, पास है, पास में है का प्रयोग होता है।

2. Past simple sentences: इन वाक्यों के अन्त में था, थे, थी, पास था, पास में थी का प्रयोग होता है।

3. Future simple sentences: इन वाक्यों के अन्त में होगा, होगी, होंगे, पास होगा, पास होगी, पास में होगा का प्रयोग होता है।

Category First: Present Simple sentences

वैसे सरल वाक्य जिसमे वर्तमान समय का बोध होता है उसे Present simple sentences कहते है| इन वाक्यों के अंत में हूँ. है, हो, पास है, पास में है इत्यादि का प्रयोग रहता है|Simple sentences examples

अगर वाक्य के अंत में सिर्फ हूँ. है, हो,रहे तो helping verb is am are का use करते है | और अगर वाक्य के अंत में पास है, पास में है भाई /बहन/दोस्त इत्यादि का प्रयोग रहता है तो has /have का use करते है |

    First type⇒  Simple sentences helping verb: is, am, are

third-person singular subject  –   Is   

first person singular subject  –   Am 

third and first-person plural subject  -Are

Affirmative sentences: is am are 

Structure:  s+ is am are +adj, adv, verb +obj+.
मै खुश हूँ| – I am happy.
वे लोग उदास है| – They are sad.
राम एकअच्छा लड़का है|-Ram is a good boy.
सीता चंचल है| Sita is active.
वे लोग कामचोर है| – They are lazy.

                 Negative sentence: Simple sentences examples

Structure:  s+ is am are +not+adj, adv, verb +obj+.
मै खुश नही हूँ| – I am not happy.
वे लोग उदास नही है| – They are not sad.
मैं कमजोर नहीं हूँ| I am not weak.
सीता चंचल नहीं है| Sita is not active.
मुकेश तेज नहीं है| -Mukesh is not intelligent.

                    Interrogative sentence: yes/no question

Structure:  is am are+ Subject+ adj, adv, verb +obj+?

क्या मै खुश हूँ?-     

Am I happy?

क्या वे लोग उदास नहीं है?-  Are they not sad?

क्या राम एक अच्छा लड़का है ? –

Is ram a good boy?

क्या सीता चंचल है ?

Is sita active?

क्या दिव्यांश समझदार है ?

is Divyansh intelligent?

                 Interrogative sentence: Wh -questions 

Structure:  WH word +is am are+ Subject+ adj  , adv, verb +obj+?
मै क्यूँ खुश हूँ?-  Why am I happy?

वे लोग क्यों उदास है?  –  Why are they sad?

वहाँ कितने लोग है?  –  how many people are there?

सुभाष तेज क्यूँ नहीं है|  Why is Subhash not intelligent?

 Second type⇒  Simple sentences helping verb: Has/Have

अगर वाक्य के अंत में पास है, पास में है भाई /बहन/दोस्त इत्यादि का प्रयोग रहता है तो has /have का use करते है |Simple sentences examples

third-person singular subject  – Has

first-person singular third and first-person plural subject – Have

                 Affirmative sentences:

राम के पास एक कार है |- Ram has a car.

उसके तीन भाई है | – He has three brothers.

मेरे पास एक सुन्दर घड़ी है | – I have a beautiful watch.

हमारे पास बहुत सारे पैसे है | – We have a lot of money.

                   Negative sentence: do not have/does not have

राम के पास एक कार नहीं है |- Ram does not have a car.

उसके तीन भाई नहीं है | – He does not have three brothers.

मेरे पास एक सुन्दर घड़ीनहीं है | – I do not have a beautiful watch.

हमारे पास बहुत सारे पैसे नहीं है | – We do not have a lot of money.

                       Interrogative sentence: yes/no question

क्या राम के पास एक कार है ?- Does Ram have a car?

क्या उसके तीन भाई है? – Does He have three brothers?

क्या मेरे पास एक सुन्दर घड़ी है? – Do I have a beautiful watch?

क्या हमारे पास बहुत सारे पैसे है? – Do We have a lot of money?

                        Interrogative sentence: WH question

राम के पास एक कार क्यों है ?- why Does Ram have a car?

उसके तीन भाई कौन कौन से है? -which all three brothers Does He have?

मेरे पास एक सुन्दर घड़ी क्यों है? -Why Do I have a beautiful watch?

हमारे पास बहुत सारे पैसे किसके है? –  whose money Do We have a lot?

Simple sentences types and rules

Category second: Past Simple sentences helping verb Was/Were Simple sentences examples

    Past simple sentences: इन वाक्यों के अन्त में था, थे, थी, पास था, पास में थी का प्रयोग होता है।

         type first: Past Simple sentences helping verb Was/Were

                       Affirmative sentences:
मै खुश था|- I was happy.            read also⇒ present indefinite tense

वे लोग उदास थे| – They were sad.
वह बेईमान था| – He was dishonest.
वे लोग शांत थे| – They were quiet.
बच्चे भूखे थे| – Children were hungry.

                                          Negative sentence:
मै खुश नहीं था|- I was not happy.
वे लोग उदास नहीं थे| – They were not sad.
वह बीमार नहीं थी| – She was not sick.
कुसुम एक कामचोर लड़की नहीं थी| – Kusum was not a lazy girl.
राम का भाई चोर नहीं था| – Ram’s brother was not a thief.

                          Interrogative sentence: yes/no question
क्या वह खुश था? – Was he happy?
क्या वे लोग उदास थे? – Were that people sad?
क्या सीता मौन थी? – Was Sita silent?
क्या कुंदन का भाई ईमानदार नहीं था? – Was Kundan’s brother not honest?

                      interrogative sentence: WH question
वह खुश क्यों नहीं था? – Why was he not happy?
वे लोग उदास कब थे? – When were they sad?
मै बीमार कहाँ था? – Where was I sick?
कार्तिक शांत क्यों नहीं था? – Why was Kartik not calm?

type second: Past Simple sentences helping verb Had
We use had with all subjects                  Simple sentences examples

                                 Affirmative sentences:

देव के पास एक TV थी|    –  dev had a T.V.

पुजा के तीन भाई थे |    –     pooja Had three brothers.

मेरे पास कुछ नहीं था |    –    I had nothing. I didn’t have anything.

उसके पास सब कुछ था |    –   he had everything.

                               Negative sentence: didn’t have

उसके पास एक पेन नहीं था |  –  he didn’t have a pen.

सिमरन के पास एक लेपटॉप नहीं था |   –  simran didn’t have a laptop

दिव्यांश के पास पैसे नहीं थे |   –   Divyansh didn’t have money.

                 Interrogative sentence: yes/no question

क्या देव के पास एक TV थी?    –  did dev have a T.V.

                       InterrogaItive sentence: WH question

देव के पास एक TV कब थी?    – when did dev have a T.V.?

पुजा के कितने भाई थे?    –   how many brothers did pooja have?

मेरे पास कुछ नहीं क्यों था?    –   why did I have nothing. why didn’t I have anything?

उसके पास सब कुछ कैसे था?    –  how did he have everything?

Category third: future Simple sentences helping verbWill be/will have

वैसे  सरल वाक्य जिसमे आने वाले समय का बोध रहता है उसे Future simple sentences कहते है| इन वाक्यों के अंत रहेगा, रहेगी, रहेंगे, पास रहेगा इत्यादि का प्रयोग रहता है|

Future Simple sentences को बनाने के लिए helping verb(सहायक क्रिया) will be और will have का प्रयोग किया जाता है|

type first/second : Future Simple sentences helping verb Will be/will have

                                    Affirmative sentences:

बच्चे स्कूल में होंगे| – Children will be in school.
अनन्या घर पर होगी| – Ananya will be at home.
उसके पास सब कुछ होगा | – He will have everything .
कमरे में खिड़की होगी| – The room will have a window.
राम के दो भाई होंगे| – Ram will have two brothers.

                                       Negative sentences:
वह खुश नहीं होगी| – He will not be happy.
वे लोग उदास नहीं होंगे| – They will not be sad.
उसका भाई चोर नहीं होगा| – His brother will not be a thief.
वह समझदार नहीं होगा| – He will not be wise.
कुसुम के पास चार गायें नहीं होगी| – Kusum will not have four cows.

Interrogative sentences: yes/no
क्या वह खुश नहीं होगी? – Will she not be happy?
क्या वे लोग उदास नहीं होंगे? – Will they not be sad?
क्या उसके पास दो एकड़ जमीन नहीं होगा? – Will he not have two acres of land?
क्या वह अमीर नहीं होगा| – Will he not be rich?
क्या अनिकेत का भाई चोर होगा? – Will Aniket’s brother be a thief?

interrogative sentences: Wh-questions:
वह खुश क्यूँ नहीं होगी? – Why will she not happy?
वे लोग उदास क्यों होंगे? – Why will they be sad?
उसके पास दो मकान कैसे होगा? – How will he have two houses?
सविता बीमार क्यूँ होगी? – Why will Savita be sick?
वह शांत क्यों नहीं होगा? – Why will he not be quiet?
