Use of some and any

Some और any दोनों का ही अर्थ होता है, कोई, कुछ, और थोड़ा। लेकिन दोनों के प्रयोग में थोड़ा फर्क है

आईये देखते है कहा some का use किया जाता है, और कहा any का।

1.Some का प्रयोग Affirmative sentences में singular uncountable noun के पहले मात्रा (quantity )बताने के लिए कुछ और थोड़ा के अर्थ में किया जाता है। तथा plural countable noun के पहले संख्या (number)बताने के लिए कोई ,कुछ और थोड़ा के अर्थ में किया जाता है।

Example :-

They have some milk

I have some money.

We have some books.

I have some pens

2. any का प्रयोग negative sentences में singular uncountable noun के पहले मात्रा (quantity )बताने के लिए कुछ और थोड़ा के अर्थ में किया जाता है। तथा plural countable noun के पहले संख्या (number)बताने के लिए कोई ,कुछ और थोड़ा के अर्थ में किया जाता है।

Example:-Use of some and any

He did not give me any milk.

there is not any ink in the bottle.

He did not take any books from the library.

She is not putting any pens in the box.

3. Some और any दोनों का ही प्रयोग Interrogative Sentences में किया जाता है। Use of some and any

Example:-

Will you give me some sugar?

Will you give me some coffee?

have you any money?

did you give him any apples?

 

4. Some का प्रयोग लगभग (about) के अर्थ में भी किया जाता है।

Example:-

Mukesh gave me some fifty rupees.

He took from here some five pens.

5.  Some और any दोनों का ही प्रयोग pronoun के रूप में किया जाता है।

Example:-

• Radha has not any(Adj) milk but Nilu has some(pro.).
• Nilu has some (Adj)milk but Radha has not any (pro.).
