Present Continuous/ Progressive Tense

       How to Form the Present Continuous Tense

The present continuous tense is formed with the subject plus the present particle form (-ing) of the main verb and the present continuous tense of the verb to be: am, is, are.
One simple example of this tense is: He is swimming. “He” is the subject, “is” is the present tense of the verb to be, and “swimming” is the present participle verb form. Some other forms of this verb tense are:

• I am singing at church today.
• The boys are playing ball after school.

        Some Important rules of  Present Continuous Tense

1. Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग ऐसे actions के लिए होता हे, जो बोलने के वक्त जारी हो | an action going on at the time of speaking.

example:

Mukesh is coming now. मुकेश अब  रहा है। 

We are playing. हम खेल रहे है। 

Dev is drinking water. देव पानी पी रहा है। 

2.  इस tense  में मुख्य क्रिया के साथ रहा है , रही है , रहे है , रहा हूँ का प्रयोग किया जाता है| तथा main verb के साथ ing  लगाते है |

We use the helping verb is, am, are

H.V.	Subjects
Is	With 3rd person singular subject: He, She, It, One name
Am	Only with I
are	With plural subject: We, You, They, two or more than two name

                         Affirmative Sentences {सकारात्मक वाक्य }

Structure⇒  Subject+is/am/are+main verb+ing+Object.

Example:

S.no	हिंदी वाक्य	English sentences	comments
1.	शुभम क्रिकेट खेल रहा है|	Subham is playing cricket.	3rd person singular sub.=is
2.	मैं मंदिर जा रहा हूँ  |	I am going to the temple.	1st person singular sub.=am
3.	वह घूमने जा रहा है |	He is going for a walk.	3rd person singular sub.=is
4.	घाव से खून निकल रहा है|	Blood is oozing from the wound.	3rd person singular sub.=is
5.	दिव्यांश और राधिका हँस रहै है |	Divyansh and Radhika are laughing.	3rd person plular sub.=are

Negative Sentences{नकारात्मक वाक्य } Present Continuous Tense

Structure⇒  Subject+is/am/are+Not +main verb+ing+Object.

Example:

1.  वै हमें नहीं बुला रहे है |⇒ They are not calling us.
2. राम T.V.नहीं  देख रहा है |⇒ Ram is not watching T.V.
3. दिव्यांश मस्ती नहीं कर रहा है |⇒ Divyansh is not making noise.
4. राम और श्याम नदी में नहीं तैर रहे है ⇒ Ram and Shyam are not swimming in                                                                  the River
5. हम उन्हें नहीं डांट रहे है |⇒ We are not scolding him.
6. में एक पत्र नहीं लिख रहा हूँ| ⇒ I am not writting a letter.
7. लोग उसे नहीं समझा रहे है | ⇒ people are not making him                                                                                     umderstsnd

                        Interrogative Sentences {प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य } yes ,no  questions 

ऐसे sentences जिनके स्टार्टिंग में क्या होता हे तो हम helping verb को सबसे आगे लिख कर yes/no question बनाते है

Structure⇒  is/am/are+Subject+main verb+ing+Object+?

Example:

1 . क्या राधिका कपडे धो रही है ? ⇒  Is Radhika washing clothes?

2. क्या आप मंदिर जा रहे हो  ? ⇒  Are you going to the temple?

3 . क्या वह रो रही है?⇒ Is she weeping/crying?

4 .क्या हम सब वहाँ जा रहे है ? ⇒ Are we all going there?

5 क्या वै तुम्हे आमंत्रित कर है ? ⇒Are they inviting you?

6 . क्या मैं  उसके साथ जा रहा हूँ?  ⇒ Am I going with him?

            Interrogative Sentences {प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य } W.H.  questions 

           Structure⇒ WH word+ is/am/are+Subject+main verb+ing+Object+?

Example:

1. वह किसके साथ मंदिर जा रही है ?⇒ With whom is she going to the temple?

2.आज राम क्यों रो रहा है ?⇒ Why is Ram crying today?

3.वह उसे क्यों बुला रही है ?  ⇒ Why is she calling him?

4.आप कहा जा रहे हो? ⇒ Where are you going?

5.पूजा खाना कैसे बना रही है ? ⇒ how is pooja cooking food?

6.वहाँ  कितने लोग जा रहे है ? ⇒ How many people are going there?

7.सोनम क्या लिख रही है? ⇒What is Sonam writing?

  Interro- Negative Sentences { नकारात्मक प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य } 

           Structure⇒ WH word+ is/am/are+Subject+Not +main verb+ing+Object+?

Example:

1 . क्या राम घूमने नहीं जा रहा है ?  ⇒ Is ram not going for a walk?

2 .देव बात क्यों नहीं कर रहा है ?  ⇒ Why is Dev not talking?

3 .वह खाना क्यों नहीं खा रही है ?  ⇒Why is she not eating/having food?

4 .मम्मी उसे क्यों नहीं डांट रही है?⇒ Why is mamma not scolding him? 

5 .आप वहा किसके साथ नहीं जा रहे हो ?  ⇒With whom are you not going there?
