Definition:-वे शब्द या शब्दों के समूह जो किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम और वाक्य के दूसरे भाग के बीच के सम्बन्ध को दर्शाते हैं, Prepositions कहलाते हैं। आमतौर पर इन्हें किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम से पहले स्थित किया जाता है। एक बात और, जिस संज्ञा या सर्वनाम के साथ Preposition का प्रयोग किया जाता है, वह संज्ञा या सर्वनाम इसका Object कहलाता है।


Prepositions are the words or the group of words, which are generally placed before a noun or a pronoun to express its relation with other part of the sentence. The noun or pronoun used with the preposition is called its object.

above ऊपर Money is above love. पैसा प्यार से ऊपर है। 
across पार My shop is across the road. मेरी दुकान रोड के उस पार है। 
after के बाद April comes after the march.अप्रेल मार्च के बाद आता है। 
against के विरोध One should not go against the rule. किसी को भी नियमो के विरुद्ध नहीं जाना चाहिए। 
along साथ में/किनारे  He was walking along the road. वह रोड के किनारे चल रहा था। 
amid के बीच Honesty is useless amid dishonesty. ईमानदारी बेईमानी के बिच में अर्थहीन है। 
among के बीच में Divide these mangoes among the children.ये आम बच्चो के बिच बाट दो। 
around चारों ओर They were sitting around the garden.वै  बगीचे के चारोओर बैठे हुवे थे। 
as जैसा As you sow so you reap. जैसा आप बोओगे  वैसा आप काटोगे। 
at पर I live at agar. ( before a small place)  में आगर रहता हूँ।

before से पहले सामने  The case was brought before the judge. मामले को जज के सामने लाया गया|

 My daughter was hiding behind the door. मेरी बेटी दरवाजे के पीछे छिप रही थी। 
below नीचे my father is below 70. मेरे पिताजी की उम्र 70 के निचे है। 
beneath नीचे He was sitting beneath the tree. वह पेड़ के निचे बैठा था। 
beside बगल में Ram sits beside Rohan.राम रोहन की बगल में बैठता है। 
besides के अतिरिक्त besides dev, all of the boys were present in the class.देव को छोड़कर, सभी बच्चे क्लास में उपस्थित थे।  
between के बीच She was sitting between her husband and her father. वह उसके पति और पिता के बिच में बैठी थी। 
beyond परे, उस तरफ  Don’t go beyond the river. नदि के उस तरफ मत जाओ। 
but लेकिन I know but doesn’t he.में जानता हूँ , लेकिन वह नहीं।
by द्वारा he goes to school by bus. वह बस से स्कुल जाता है।

opposite विपरीत Ram does the opposite of what you say. आप जो कहते है राम उसके विपरीत करता है। 
outside बाहर He was walking outside the school. वह स्कूल के बाहर घूम रहा था। 
over पर, भर मे  English is spoken all over the world. पुरे विश्व भर में इंग्लिश बोली जाती है। 
since  से Dev has been watching TV since morning. देव सुबह से टीवी देख रहा है। 
than से She is better than her sister. वह उसकी बहन से अच्छी है। 
through के माध्यम से I knew it through a newspaper. मुझे यह न्यूसपेपर से मालूम पड़ा।  
to तक motion  Ram is going to school. राम स्कुल जा रह है। 
toward की ओर He was going toward college. वह कॉलेज की और जा रहा था। 
towards की ओर He was going towards college. वह कॉलेज की और जा रहा था। 

under

 नीचे Preposition in Hindi meaning he was sitting under the tree. वह पेड़ के निचे बैठा था। 
until जब तक He works in the factory from 9 am until 3 PM.वह 9 से 3 बजे तक फैक्टरी में काम करता है। 
up ऊपर He stands up to ask a question. वह प्रश्न पूछने के लिए उठा।  
upon पर  the dog sprang upon the table.  कुत्ता टेबल पर उछला। 
with साथ (से ) He writes with a pen. वह पेन से लिखता है।
