Degree of the Adjective

⇒ The three degrees of adjectives are positive, comparative, and superlative adjectives. The positive degree of an adjective makes no comparison.: The comparative and superlative degrees compare two people, things. The superlative adjective is also used to qualify a person or an object as the best among all its counterparts.

Positive Degree

Positive Degree का प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु के गुण के लिए सामान्यत: तब होता है जब उसकी तुलना न की जा रही हो The positive degree of an adjective makes no comparison.

Comparative Degree

Comparative Degree का प्रयोग दो व्यक्ति या वस्तु के गुणों की तुलना करने के लिए किया जाता हैThe comparative degree compares two people, things, actives, or qualities.

• She runs faster than I do.
• This car is more beautiful than yours.
• She is more intelligent than her brother.

Superlative Degree

Superlative Degree का प्रयोग दो से अधिक व्यक्ति या वस्तु के गुणों की तुलना के लिए किया जाता हैThe superlative degree compares with more than two-person, things, activities, or quality.

• The tallest building in the town.
• She is the fastest runner among the students.
• This is the most beautiful car I have ever seen
• Rekha is the most beautiful girl in the school.
