The adjective of quality is an Adjective that tells the kind and quality of a noun.
वह विशेषण जो किसी noun के गुण ,दोष तथा रंग रूप प्रकट करे उसे adjective of quality कहते है।
modern english grammarians also call it Descriptive Adjective
How and where use adjectives of quality in a sentences
Adjectives of quality are the most common type of adjective. Adjectives of quality describe the nature of a noun. They tell us about the quality, state, or action of a noun. They are otherwise known as descriptive adjectives or attributive adjectives.
Important points about adjectives of quality:
Rule 01:- Adjectives of quality can be used before the noun.
कुछ वाक्यों में Adjectives of quality का प्रयोग noun (संज्ञा ) से पहले किया जाता है।
Examples:-
- The old woman died.
- A foolish girl Was beaten.
- the happy baby woke up from his nap.
Rule 02:- Adjectives of quality can be used with nouns & verbs and after the verb (As a predicate) like sound, seem, smell, appear, etc.
कुछ वाक्यों में Adjectives of quality का noun and verb के साथ या verb के बाद predicate की तरह किया जाता है।
Example:-
- The girl is lazy.
- The food smelled delicious.
- The table is hard.
- The book is new
Rule 03:- Adjectives of quality can be used after nouns like nothing, something, everything, and other similar words.
Adjectives of quality का उपयोग नाउन के बाद में कुछ , थोड़ा , सबकुछ के अर्थ में किया जाता है।
Example
- There is something wrong with this mobile phone.
Note:- Identify Adjectives of quality: वाक्य में Adjective of quality जानने के लिए ‘Of what kind?’ अर्थात कैसा है? प्रश्न लगाने से Adjectives of qualityका पता चल जाता है।
जैसे:-
1. This is a Red flower.
यह एक लाल फूल है।
Q. फूल कैसा है?

मेरा कुत्ता काला है।
