some important Rules of uncountable nouns use
Rule 1. uncountable nouns का use सिर्फ singular form में किया जाता है।Uncountable nouns have only one form
Examples:-
- I need some rice, bacon, cream, and oil.
- Do you drink coffee or tea in the morning?
- Can you please check the salt of the curry?
- I need advice.
Rule 2. uncountable nouns के just पहले article A, An का प्रयोग नहीं किया जा सकता है।Uncountable nouns do not immediately follow A or AN
Examples:-
Incorrect:
- I eat a sugar in my food.
Correct:
- I eat sugar in my food.
- We eat some sugar in our food.
- I eat a spoonful of sugar in my food.
Rule 3. uncountable nouns को Quantity words and phrase की सहायता से modify (परिवर्तन) किया जा सकता है। few, a few, some, any, little, etc. we can modify uncountable nouns with quantity words and phrases
Examples:-
- I need some drinking water.
- Have some juice, please.
- Do you need some gas for your car?
- We need a lot of money for the business.
- Do you want some milk?
Rule 4. कुछ noun uncountable और countable दोनों हो सकती है। बस हमें यह देखना होता है की उनका उपयोग sentences में किस तरह किया गया है। some nouns can be countable or uncountable depending on their meaning and how they are used in a sentence
Examples:-
- Bring me a cup of soup.
- I want to draw a picture. Have you got some paper?
- It’s difficult to work when there is so much noise.
- Close the curtain. There’s too much light!
