Introduction:-  An Essay on India

India is my country and I am proud to be an Indian. India is a great country where people speak different languages but the national language is Hindi. It ranks as the seventh-largest country in the world as well as the second most populated country in the world. It is also known as Bharat, Hindustan, and Aryavart.  India is a country where people speak many languages. and people of different castes, creeds, religions, and cultures live together. That’s why India is famous for the common saying of “unity in diversity”. People of various religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism lives here together from ancient times. It is a famous country for its agriculture and farming which are the backbones of it from ancient times.

National emblem(राष्ट्रिय चिन्ह/प्रतीक ):-
The national animal of India is a tiger. the national bird is a peacock. the national flower is a lotus and the national fruit is mango. . The national anthem of India is “Jana Gana Mana”. the national song is “Vande Mataram” and the national sport is Hockey.

Geography and Culture:-

India has the second-largest population in the world. India is also knowns as Bharat, Hindustan, and sometimes Aryavart. It is surrounded by oceans from three sides which are the Bay Of Bengal. in the east, the Arabian Sea. in the west, and Indian oceans in the south.  People of different religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism lives together from ancient times. India is also rich in monuments, tombs, churches, historical buildings, temples, museums, scenic beauty, wildlife sanctuaries, places of architecture, and many more. The great leaders and freedom fighters are from India.

The National Flag of India:-

The Indian national flag has tricolors

Saffron
White
Green.

The flag of India has a tricolor, saffron means purity, white means peace (the middle one having an Ashok Chakra), and green means fertility (the lowest one). Ashok Chakra contains equally divided 24 spokes.

Digital India:-

Digital India is a campaign launched by the Government of India on the 1st of July, 2015 in order to transform India into a complete digital country.  The main purpose of digitizing this country is to make available all the government services at easy reach to the citizens of India.

The Digital program India 

To ensure the broadband highways.

To ensure universal access to mobile phones.

To facilitate people with high-speed internet.

To bring e-Governance by reforming government through digitization.

To bring e-Kranti through electronic delivery of services.

To make available online information for all.

To ensure more IT jobs.
National Festivals of India:-

We celebrate The Indian national festivals, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, and Republic Day since 1947. Since these are all national holidays most of the schools celebrate these festivals a day before. It is time for a double celebration for the students as it means no classes for two days. Here is the importance of celebrating national festivals in schools:

Independence Day

On this day to pay tribute to the Freedom Fighters: To Acquaint the Young Minds with Freedom Struggle: Independence Day celebrations in schools are a way to acquaint the younger generation with the struggles and hardships people went through during the British reign. 

Republic Day

Republic Day celebration in schools across the country is as grand as Independence Day celebrations. Here is the importance of celebrating Republic Day in our country. The constitution of India was formed on the 26th of January 1950.

Gandhi Jayanti

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in schools to honor the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and inspire young minds to follow his ideologies.

Conclusion:-

India is a great country having different cultures, castes, creeds, religions but still, they live together. India is known for its heritage, spices, and of course, for people who live here. That’s the reason India is famous for the common saying of “unity in diversity”. India is also well known as the land of spirituality, philosophy, science, and technology. There is much diversity among the people of India. We speak different languages, worship many gods and yet we all have the same spirit of India, we are running through all parts of our country binding us together. We have great unity in diversity. it is a country where diversity exists with strong unity and peace.
